License Categories

| E-commerce (Swiggy/Zomato) | State license needed for platform listing, regardless of turnover |
| Validity | Perpetual — no renewal, but annual fee + annual return are mandatory |
Update: Turnover limits were raised (Basic up to ₹1.5 cr, State up to ₹50 cr). FSSAI licenses now have perpetual validity — but non-payment of the annual fee or missing the annual compliance report leads to automatic suspension. The 14-digit FSSAI number must be printed on packaging.
